How much do Jeuveau injections cost?

Jeuveau Injections

Jeuveau neurotoxin injection treatment was launched in 2019 as a non-surgical med spa wrinkle reducer. Jeuveau injections have been steadily gaining in popularity among women and men who want to diminish the effect of their facial expression lines without have to undergo an elaborate non-surgical or cosmetic surgery procedure.

At your pre-treatment consultation, your injection provider will explain the pros and cons of Jeuveau, and also discuss its costs. Dr. Q Medical Spa, led by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Suzanne Quardt (Dr. Q) provides cosmetic injectable treatments for the face to patients in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Beverly Hills, CA, and surrounding locations.

More Cost-Effective than Many Other Treatments

Jeuveau cosmetic injection for facial anti-aging is a significantly more affordable procedure compared to even a minor plastic surgery. The injection treatment does not involve general anesthesia or sedation, which avoids the costs related to these procedures. Unlike a surgery, Jeuveau injections can be performed in-office, which also eliminates the costs of a surgical venue.

Downtime is entirely avoided in this treatment, and you can return to your workplace or resume your normal activities the same day after the procedure. In fact, busy working people can receive this treatment during their lunch hour. No downtime and quick treatment can have cost-saving implications for some working people.

Jeuveau injectable procedure is likely to be more cost-effective even compared to some non-surgical cosmetic treatments, such as laser, RF and ultrasound based techniques. Even deep chemical peels, dermabrasion, and microneedling treatments may cost more than Jeuveau injections in some cases. If you need only focused reduction of dynamic wrinkles and expression lines in certain areas of the face Jeuveau might be the most affordable and effective solution.

Cost Variations

The cost of Jeuveau injections may marginally vary at two practices or between two patients at the same medical spa. If you only need Jeuveau treatment to reduce glabellar lines (frown lines), your cost may lower compared to someone who needs treatment in multiple facial areas, including some off-label treatments to mitigate the facial aging effects.

If you choose Jeuveau in combination with another non-surgical med spa procedure, such as dermal filler injections, your total cost will increase. However, you might receive some rebate from your surgeon, depending on a special cosmetic package treatment.

Do not Go Only by the Price

Your goal should be to choose a qualified treatment provider for your Jeuveau anti-wrinkle injections. It is best to work with a board certified plastic surgeon because they would maintain the same standards of care for non-surgical treatments as they do for cosmetic surgery procedures. The surgeon’s office and med spa would be fully equipped to provide these treatments in a safe environment.

Some non-certified or less qualified Jeuveau providers may offer exceptionally low prices, but weigh the risks involved carefully before you consider such options. The FDA has warned that botulinum toxin type A is a powerful treatment, and it is should only be performed by a trained and certified injection provider for predictable results.

Jeuveau Injections To Reduce Wrinkles

Reduce Wrinkles

Jeuveau is the newest addition to the group of injectable neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. Just like these established anti-wrinkle injectable treatments, Jeuveau is created to improve the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles on your face. Jeuveau works most effectively for reduction of fine lines between the brows, across the forehead and around the corners of your eyes.

Jeuveau was approved by the FDA in 2019 after two extensive clinical trials in the United States. The cosmetic med spa treatment is proven for safety and effectiveness and has fast gained popularity among women and men who want to eliminate the facial signs of aging without undergoing plastic surgery.

Dr. Q Medical Spa, led by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Suzanne Quardt (Dr. Q) provides cosmetic injectable treatments for the face to patients in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Beverly Hills, CA, and surrounding communities.

How does Jeuveau Injectable Treatment Work?

Jeuveau neuromodulator injections target the affected facial muscles that are causing formation of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin surface. The muscle will immediately relax when Jeuveau is injected in tiny, controlled quantities. As a result, the lines that are formed when you make a facial expression will be smoothed away.

A skilled med spa injection provider can create relaxed and rejuvenated facial appearance without creating the unsightly ‘frozen’ look. The key to success with Jeuveau injection is the placement of the needles at the precise location and depth in the skin and right dosing. You can achieve natural, youthful outcomes when the procedure is performed accurately.

Areas of Treatment

Jeuveau neuromodulator will block the communication between the nerve and the muscle. As a result, the muscle will stop flexing or contracting for a few months till the effect of the treatment lasts. The effects will be visible right after the injection treatment and will continue to improve over the next several days.

Treatment areas where you can achieve most effective results with Jeuveau med spa injections include:

  • Glabellar lines or frown lines
  • Horizontal lines on your forehead
  • Crow’s feet which are tiny lines emanating from the corner of your eyes
  • Creases and wrinkles around your nose (called bunny lines)
  • Fine lines around your mouth and vertical lip lines
  • Aging signs in your jawline
  • Neck lines and bands (“tech neck”)
  • Platysmal bands or vertical neck lines

Jeuveau Injection Candidates

If you are unhappy with the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines and other dynamic wrinkles or lines in certain areas of your case, you could be a candidate for Jeuveau med spa injectable treatment. If you have experienced adverse effects or an allergy with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin, your treatment provider may advise you to avoid Jeuveau treatment as well.

Women who are pregnancy, nursing or planning a pregnancy may not be suitable candidates for Jeuveau injections. Individuals having muscular disorders, such as ALS, may discuss their treatment options with their surgeon before going ahead with Jeuveau anti-aging product.

Jeuveau vs. Botox: What’s the Difference?

Jeuveau vs. Botox

Jeuveau is relatively recent neuromodulator injection like Botox, which is designed to reduce expression lines on your face, such as horizontal lines on your forehead, frown lines between the brows, and crow’s feet around your eyes.

Although Botox has been around for nearly three decades and continues to be the number one cosmetic med spa facial anti-aging procedure, Jeuveau promises similar results for people who may be seeking alternatives to Botox.

Dr. Q Medical Spa, led by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Suzanne Quardt (Dr. Q) provides cosmetic injectable treatments for the face to patients in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Beverly Hills, CA, and surrounding locations.

What is Jeuveau?

Similar to Botox, the active ingredient present in Jeauveau anti-wrinkle formulation is botulinum neurotoxin type A. This is the most potent biological compound that is used in minimal quantities to produce near-instant wrinkle and line removal results. Jeuveau is a safe and predictable injection treatment, just like Botox. It has also won the FDA’s approval for the cosmetic reduction of glabellar lines (frown lines) on the face.

Jeuveau and Botox: Similarities

Same as Botox the new Jeuveau neuromodulator injection works on the principle of temporary immobilizing the overactive wrinkle-causing facial muscles. As soon as the formulation is injected directly into the underlying muscle, it will cause the muscle to soften and the wrinkle on the surface of the skin will get erased or will at least diminish.

Another similarity is that the time taken to perform Jeuveau injection procedure is also about 15 minutes, just like Botox. The appearance of results and their longevity is also similar. Your Jeuveau results will become quickly visible after the treatment, and can last for up to three to four months with a single injection procedure.

The treatment is completely safe and approved, as long as it is administered by a certified and experienced injection provider.

Jeuveau and Botox: Differences

Although the active ingredient Jeuveau and Botox is the same (botulinum toxin type A), the purification and preparation process differs between the two neuromodulators. Owing to this distinction between the two, it is possible that some patients may achieve superior results with Jeuveau compared to Botox. It will depend on the patient’s past experience with Botox injections.

Over the years, Botox has earned the FDA’s approval for multiple aesthetic as well as medical concerns. Jeuveau, on the other hand, has only been approved for the frown lines in the upper face as of now. Therefore, if you want to choose Jeuveau for off-label cosmetic wrinkle reduction in different parts of the face, you should work with an experienced plastic surgeon.

Which One Should You Choose?

Whether you are a better candidate for Jeuveau or Botox injectable treatment is a question that an experienced medical spa treatment provider can answer for you. They will assess the unique condition of your facial signs of aging, including the dynamic wrinkles and lines. They will ask about your previous experience or history with Botox injections, if any.

Based on your inputs, personal goals, treatment history, and the extent of your facial aging signs, your injection expert will recommend Jeuveau or Botox for you. In any case, the final results will ultimately depend on the experience and skill of your injection provider.
