EXOSOME Treatments for Hair Growth

EXOSOME Treatments Hydrate And Nourish The Scalp To Promote Healthy Hair GrowthThe human body contains several biological sources which can be used for regenerating hair follicles. This includes autologous cells that originate from bone marrow and adipose. Placental cell-derived exosome products are one of the primary therapy sources. Exosomes are an effective nonsurgical procedure for hair restoration in both men and women.

Dr. Q Medical Spa, led by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Suzanne Quardt (Dr. Q), provides exosome treatments for nourishing and hydration of the scalp for healthy hair growth to patients in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Beverly Hills, CA, and surrounding locations.

What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are the latest addition to naturally bioactive amnion-based products available for treating hair loss and thinning. Exosomes are paracrine effectors, which mean they have a major role in stimulating and signaling nearby cells.

Transfer of biochemical stimulating contents from one cell to the next causes the stimulating effect on cells and tissues. These messengers are collectively known as extracellular vesicles (EVs) and include exosomes and microvesicles.

Use in Hair Stimulation

Regenerative cells perform the basic function of healing, repairing, restoring, and stimulating cells and tissues. Hair follicles are vulnerable and susceptible to minturization by hormonal and genetic effects from DHT.

Injecting MSC Extracellular Vesicles in the Scalp

EVs have a tiny size that allows them to be easily injected with local anesthesia in the superficial dermis layer of the scalp. PRP and A-Cell among other common autologous scaffolds can be used for assisting in cell migration and retention. The procedure is completed in the same manner as other in-office procedure involving PRP injections.

Exosome Therapy Results

Natural hair growth may be promoted by exosome med spa hair therapy in just 2 – 3 months. New hair may continue growing over the course of the next year. Most noticeable results can be seen after 6 months following the procedure. A large number of patients report new and consistent hair growth in the months following their last treatment session.

Time Gap Between Two Exosome Therapy Sessions for Hair Loss

Typically, med spa experts recommend a wait period of 6 – 8 months after the last treatment session for revaluating results. They also take this time before performing another treatment session of exosome injections.

Number of Exosomes in a Vial

There are 400 billion plus exosomes in each vial for the purpose of hair regrowth. According to researchers, this amount is more than enough for regenerating hair growth.

Difference Between Exosome Treatment and PRP

PRP doesn’t provide exosomes or stem cells. This is because the amount of stem cells present within the body reduces with age. Normal PRP treatments don’t include any stem cells. PRP therapy is concentrated on growth factors and platelets that are injected into the patient.

Often, PRP is confused by doctors and patients with stem cells. However, a lot of people forget that blood is not an efficient source for obtaining stem cells. Originally, the stem cells are collected from fat during liposuction. However, this is a labor-intensive procedure and not a very effective or potent source in patients that have aged.
